F Kimball High School will celebrate its 45th year of sending
Knights throughout the world in 2005, and plans are under way to
hold a gala Alumni reunion on June 10, 2006. The focus of this reunion
is not to replace individual class reunions, but to join
together the Kimball Alumni for the first time as a group. You will
not want to miss this historic event, destined to become another
tradition for Kimball Knights.
No gathering of this size just happens. It takes a great deal of
planning and work to make successful and that means volunteers.
Tasks that will have to be performed are planning the location,
time, events, program, activities, room accommodations, favors,
decorations, registration, name tags, photos and more! But all that
is after the hard work is done by preparing lists, printing,
internet advertising, mailings, emails and other necessary work to
get the word out. BUT….the biggest task is reaching the classmates
we know about and, more importantly, those who are lost. That is a
primary purpose of the Alumni website…to build an effective database
and a central point for disseminating information to the graduates.
The Reunion, Lost Classmate and Events committees are being
organized and need volunteers. Remember…you do not have to live in
Dallas to participate in the process. Email, instant messaging and
other means of communicating and sharing ideas are available to us.
We need volunteers on all of those committees and we need them NOW!
Also, we need Band and Orchestra Members to reunite the Knight Band.
Each class needs to have a chairperson that will organize for their
group. Won't you step forward as one to organize your class or
simply volunteer for the committee?
Remember the tasks:
-
Lost Classmates
-
Site Selection and Accommodations
-
Programs and Activities
-
Registration and Photos
-
Band and Orchestra
-
Food and Favors
-
Printing and Mailings
